TD Canada Trust Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

As the area coordinator, I can report that we collected just over a 1/2 ton of garbage and debris. Our biggest "trophies" were the Living Room sofa (as depicted in the picture), a few shopping carts, baby carriage, BBQ and a TV set!

Big thank-you to the District Parks Dept. for arranging a special dumpster on location...which we promptly FILLED! And for giving us the key to the gate at Heritage Park to assist us in the Registration and set-up.

Special thanks to the volunteers; Dolores & Glen Parker, Jan Lander, Doug Hayman, Mike Gosnell (and Lucy), Greg Jovick, John Nelson, Johanna Kendall, Greg Colquhoun, Wen Lu Lin, Wayne & Marsia Hunter.

Extra special thanks to Marsia Hunter for the water AND the aspirin at the end of the day!

Great day....and most importantly, WE MADE A DIFFERENCE!

A copy of our report has gone to all District Councilors and the North Shore Outlook.

The Seymour Salmonid Society would like to thank Wayne for doing such a wonderful job and for coordinating this year's clean-up.  We also would like to thank the dedicated volunteers who came out to help and TD Canada Trust.
