The Ocean Film Festival was created in Australia ten years ago. It aims to inspire the world to explore and enjoy our oceans, protect, and respect them, promote ocean conservation, and unite people to celebrate its wonders. In just ten years, the Film Festival worldwide has hosted nearly 1000 screenings, with over 300 000 audience members and raised over $40,000 for ocean charities.

The Ocean Film Festival World Tour includes a unique selection of films of varying lengths and styles covering topics such as ocean adventure and exploration, the oceanic environment, marine creatures, ocean related sports, coastal cultures and ocean lovers.

In each tour location we work with local ocean charities to support them in their crucial work conserving our oceans.

The good news is we are bringing this fantastic event to Canada, starting this year at home, in North Vancouver, in November 2023.

This is a two-and-a-half-hour program showcasing films from independent filmmakers worldwide, and it has been hosted annually in 14 countries. A unique anniversary program kicked off in Australia in February 2023 before heading to other ocean-loving countries such as Italy, Spain, New Zealand, Brazil and Mexico and finally to Canadian land in November 2023.
